What is Steel Fabrication ?
Steel fabrication invovles taking raw materials and forming them into desired shapes. Raw materials are melted and mixed into steel before being made into the desired shape. This process requires skilled technicians who are experienced in talking raw components and turning them into marketable goods, and there is often little room for error. industrial facilities use steel fabrication to make everything from vehicle parts to household appliances.
Basic methods of fabricatiion include cutting or burning, forming, machining, or welding. Her's a quick overview of how each of these tactics works :
Machining :
This process involves using special equitment to shave metal parts into the required shape. Some of the tools involved include a lathe, mill, and drill.
Cutting :
We use water jet cutting, and abrasive process that uses high-pressurewater to cut almost any material with a high degree of precision and wihout distortion. See the benefits of water jet cutting here.
Welding :
This is a common form of steel fabrication. Welding is used to bend or join pieces into one piece. As a CT welding contractor, we specialize in MIG & TIG welding on steel, Stainless Steel, and Almunium and use Pulsed welding machines to help control the heat introduced to a part, minimize distrotion, and inprove the quality of the parts we produce.
